Little Red Hen & Early Years is partnered with Playtime Sports for all of the preschool sports activities for our children across all the four learning programs.

It offers a planned, sequential and progressive approach, ensuring that each child is actively engaged in high quality Physical Education & Sports Programs.

The program significantly enhances children’s fitness levels and greatly improves the overall concentration, commitment and self-esteem; leading to higher attendance, positive behaviour and attainment.

About Playtime Sports

A result of extensive research and interactions with school leaders and physical education fraternity in India, this is a specialised physical education program focusing on Fundamental Movement skills and Physical Fitness, it adopts the best practices around the globe and is developed to cater to children of all age groups – starting from Pre – Nursery to Grade 12.

The Little Champions’ Arena

The fundamental movement skills to be developed through Health and Physical Education at Little Red Hen include:

Locomotor Skills

This enable children to move through different environments, moving their body from one place to another. The key locomotor skills are walking, running, jumping, hopping, crawling, marching, climbing, galloping, sliding, leaping,

Movement Skills

This require an ability to handle an object or piece of equipment with control. They include skills such as kicking, striking, dribbling or catching a ball. Also referred to as manipulative skills – bouncing, throwing, catching, kicking, striking

Stability Skills

These are movements where the body remains in place but moves around its horizontal and vertical axis. For example: balancing, stretching, bending and twisting. These skills are needed in order to progress on to locomotor and manipulative skills.
