Calm & Unhurried, since 2014
Little Red Hen opened its doors in Kothanur in 2014, our first campus, and still the one where it all began. This preschool in Kothanur is tucked into DR Bendre Layout, just off Gubbi Cross, set back from the main road in a quiet residential pocket most families already know from nearby Decathlon Sports Academy on Hennur-Bagalur Road. No traffic noise at drop-off, no rushed crossing to get here, just a calm street leading into a calm campus.

A Morning at our Kothanur campus
The day starts at 9:30 am with a calm, unhurried arrival. From there, the Cambridge framework’s six areas show up woven through the morning: a Brain Gym session, hands-on Montessori number work, a Jolly Phonics story circle, maybe Six Bricks or outdoor loose parts play. Teachers observe rather than test, letting each child move at their own pace.

How Little Red Hen makes a difference in Preschool Education
A child’s journeyspoken through his/her parents is our greatest testimony. When their words resonate with the genuine validation of how our little ones play, learn, and flourish under our care, it can only mean one thing – the difference the learning here brings to their lives and is shaping them up to be beautiful human beings.

It’s more than Education at Little Red Hen
At Little Red Hen, education goes beyond textbooks. We believe in a calm, holistic learning environment where children explore at their own pace — from nutritious meals and collaborative sports to music, dramatics, loose parts play, story sessions, a library oasis, and arts and crafts that let creativity unfold naturally.

Want Daycare Facility for your Child?
For the many Kothanur families where both parents work, daycare isn’t a separate arrangement. It is simply a continuation of the same day, with the same teachers, in the same classrooms. School ends at 1:00 pm; daycare runs straight through to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, for children 2 to 10 years old. No second commute, no new caregiver to introduce, no second goodbye.
The afternoon has its own unhurried rhythm: lunch at 1:00 pm, quiet rest time for younger children, then a mix of supervised free play, art, and outdoor time until a second snack around 5:00 pm carries children through to pickup. For children aged 6–10 years already in primary school elsewhere, daycare includes structured homework time alongside play.
[From 1.00 pm – 6.30 pm on Weekdays only]

A healthy and nutritious meal while they learn
Meals at Kothanur are cooked on campus, not catered in at Little Red Hen Kothanur campus. This starts with the morning snack, lunch, and evening snack, on a rotating home-style Vegetarian menu: Dal Khichdi, Matar Paneer, Bisi Bele Bath among the regulars, prepared with RO water under strict food safety protocols.
Daycare children get the same kitchen, same standard, later in the day.
